The Change | TASTE N LIFE

I still remember that day when I entered the Auditorium. I was excited as well as little nervous about what the activity was going to be all about? Who would my group members be? Would they co-operate with me properly? With all the mixed feelings, I was sitting and listening to the information that the faculty and seniors were delivering. The activity was to support the NGOs by selling the bags which they would be providing us. I had butterflies in my stomach because the activity demanded interaction with people which I used to avoid doing before.

All the students were then divided into groups wherein each group, consisting of 5 students, was supposed to contribute by selling 113 bags. But from my group, 2 students had already disappeared and only 3 of us were left. Also, I got to know that the number of bags were allotted group wise and not student wise, which meant that, although being a group of 3 members, we had to sell 113 bags.

We took the Bags from the College and then came home. I began sharing the information on social media. I started getting positive responses which encouraged me a lot.
That night went in Brainstorming about where to target and what strategy should be applied. I suggested my group members that ‘We should opt for Door to Door technique for reaching out maximum audience.’ They too agreed and we decided to apply the same technique next day.

In Morning, we three met at Mulund Station with all the Bags and went door to door in the nearby Residential Buildings, told people about the bags and the noble cause behind the activity.
We came across many people who supported us by purchasing the bags,
And we faced some rejections too.
But we kept trying…

After about 3 hours or so, we met a lady, who was so impressed by the cause behind the activity that she contributed by purchasing 9 Bags on the spot. She also took our contact number.

On the Next day, we were attending our regular lecture when we noticed that we’d missed around 5 calls from an unknown number. Later, in the break time, we called on the same number and to our surprise; It was the same Lady who had purchased 9 bags from us the other day. She had called to give an order of more 50 bags. After hearing those words, we were on cloud nine. We delivered her order on the same day.
On that day, we also got to know that the 3rd group member left the college, which left only two of us in the group along with the remaining bags. But we successfully completed the task by selling bags.

A few days later,
On the Celebration Day,
We won 1st Prize in the Activity which was my first achievement in my PG Degree.
Take a step forward for bringing up a great Change.
It was the first time, I walked on the stage and received the prize from the Director of the Institute.
It was the first time, I gave my thanking speech in front of the Dignitaries, Faculty members and around 300 students.
It was the first time, I saw myself changing from little nervous and hesitant person to an Adaptable, self-assured and confident person.
Also, it was the first time, I felt so proud of myself.

That was the activity that brought THE CHANGE in my Personality and Life..
