All those Tandoori Paneer fans there....
Are you missing Tandoori Paneer Tikka?? Try our recipe of Smokey Paneer Tikka and you will forget restaurant dish... And guess what... We made it using home-made Paneer.... (You can use ready-made paneer, if you want...)
Things you will need for this restro style recipe:
Curdled Milk - about 2 litres ( this is for making paneer, you can use Ready-made Paneer - about 250 gms) Red Chilli Powder - 2 tbsp Turmeric - 1 tsp Coriander Powder - 1 tbsp Fresh Cream - 4 tbsp Salt to taste Onion (roughly chopped) Capsicum (roughly chopped) Oil (optional)
Let's get started with our recipe.....
We are using homemade Paneer.... If you are using ready-made Paneer then you may skip this step.
For making Paneer:
Take a vessel, place net or jali over it.
Place any cloth on it so that water can drain out.
Put curdled Milk on it.
Drain water.
Press Paneer with the help of a spoon.
(do not drain out all the water as there has to be moisture in our Paneer).
Take another vessel.
Place the strainer on it.
Now place Paneer along with the cloth on it.
For adding on some weight, Place a vessel/ pan containing water in it.
Keep it for 2 hours......
TWO HOURS LATER....
Take out the Paneer carefully...
Now cut them into medium sized cubes and keep it in freezer.....(for 10 mins).
For Masala:
In a vessel, add Red Chilli powder, Turmeric, Coriander powder and mix these dry ingredients properly.....
Add 2 tbsp of fresh cream and mix.....
Now add remaining fresh cream and mix properly.....
you can add oil in this step.....
Now add Salt and mix properly....
Take out the paneer cubes and put it in the masala.
Make sure you apply the masala onto paneer thoroughly....
Once done, add roughly chopped onion and capsicum and mix properly.......
Now take the skewers and insert onion, capsicum, and paneer carefully....
Light up the Gas stove and let paneer cook from all sides....

Be careful while doing this step....
Once done, remove the paneer out of the skewers carefully with the help of fork or knife...
Your SMOKEY PANEER TIKKA is ready.......
