Today I am going to
share a recipe that is liked by most of us.
SPICY VEG MANCHURIAN
PAKORA AND GRAVY
That crispy pakoras in the gravy are just like the beautiful pebbles in the sea....
For this recipe you will
need the following ingredients:
- Cornflour – 2 tsp
- Wheat flour (aata)/ Plain flour (Maida) – 2 tbsp
- Salt – 1 tsp
- Grated carrot – 1 cup
- Chopped capsicum – 1 cup
- Chopped onion – ½ cup
- Cabbage – 2 cups
- Spring onions – 1 cup
- Grated garlic – 2 tsp
- Chopped green chillies – 4
- Crushed/ powdered black pepper – 1 tsp
- Schezwan sauce/ chutney – 1 tsp
- Dark Soy Sauce – 1 tbsp
- Oil as required
- Water – 2 tbsp
So let’s get started
with our recipe...
Take a bowl, add
cabbage, half of onions (we will use other half for gravy), carrot, capsicum,
wheat flour/Maida, half cornflour, salt (optional).
Now mix all these
together knead into a smooth dough and start making small sized balls.
Now deep fry them until
golden brown.
(Be careful don’t burn
them n yourself)
Take them out and keep
aside
Your Manchurian pakoras
are ready.
You can even eat them
with chutney.
For recipe of Manchurian
gravy:
Mix the remaining
cornflour with water and keep it aside (this will help to thicken the gravy).
Take oil in a hot
pan/kadhai.
Add garlic and chillies
and sauté well......
Add remaining half onion
and sauté until they get soft or transparent.
Add spring onion and
keep mixing.....
Now add a pinch of salt
and mix.
Add dark soy sauce,
schezwan sauce and mix....
Sprinkle some
crushed/powder black pepper.
Let this entire cook and
add Water.
Now mix all of these
thoroughly.
Add cornflour and Water
mix that we kept aside.....
Put the pakoras and mix
properly.
Cover and Let it cook in
steam for a while.
Serve in a bowl.
Garnish with some spring
onions.
